Sleep with an award winner. Guests of Stanley House Hotel have a great choice when it comes to our hotel rooms. Our accommodation is split over two spectacular buildings and includes 30 bedrooms.

The Manor House
Our Grade II listed house comprises 12 large individually designed bedrooms, all with fantastic countryside views. Originally the manor house of Mellor, this building has been restored to its former glory and houses a serene private reception area, featuring a magnificent Inglenook fireplace, complete with wood burning stove. These 12 rooms won an Enjoy England for Excellence Award in 2004 for their character and specification.

Woodland Rooms
We added 18 newly constructed bedrooms in 2012 called the Woodlands Rooms. Each luxury room is 36 sq.m and boasts a range of technological advances including a media hub and an in-safe laptop charging facility, along with large flat-screen TVs and complimentary WiFi. A walk-in shower and separate double ended bath also features in each room. The rural theme is reflected throughout the interior design providing a seamless transition from outside to inside. A suite, family rooms and a dedicated disabled accessible room with twin bathrooms are also available.

Thank you for all our telephone conversations in the last few weeks, Bethany. Even when we first met we were extremely impressed by your professionalism. To Megan, firstly when I went up yesterday how different the room looked in comparison to our first impression on Saturday, it looked absolutely stunning. Regarding your management skills, Steve and I were watching and we were extremely impressed by your style. Thank you for the organisation of our son’s speech equipment. Regarding the canapes, Duncan and I decided that we must have been stood in the wrong place and all the rugby lads got there first! (This is not a criticism of any of your staff!). Duncan, Steve, Laura and I got what we wanted from beginning to end, we all loved every minute of it. Every task or hurdle that arose, from helping both of us with the cake to chasing James around all evening so he was on time for his first dance It was all done seamlessly without hesitation. The photo & frame gift that you and the rest of the team at Stanley House arranged was unbelievable, so thoughtful and just shows how you & the team go that extra mile !

"After planning our wedding for 18 months with a number of stumbling blocks in the way over that time i can honestly say Stanley House and its staff delivered to the highest quality, making our wedding reception a truly memorable and wonderful experience for everyone that came and celebrated with us.

Both in the run up and on the day, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, from those working in Mr Freds to the General Manager, and we were always greeted by extremely friendly individuals on every occasion.

nfortunately my grandad fell ill during the reception and the staff at Stanley House were unbelievable in managing the situation, i cannot thank them enough for all they did during the evening reception, especially Ben (ops team) – he was an absolute star.

We became regular visitors to Stanley House on the run up to our wedding and the can honestly say that the food served across the hotel is beautiful. The surroundings are perfect and the rooms are some of the most stunning i have seen in any hotel we have visited.

You absolutely get what you pay for; and what you get at Stanley House is class, sophistication a beautiful ambiance. It was well worth us blowing our budget and even with hindsight i would do exactly the same again…
