Country house wedding venues come in lots of guises. We’ve only put the most beautiful and interesting on our list and many of them now offer wedding packages. Country house weddings are, as the name suggests, in the countryside. Many will have wedding licences, giving you ultimate flexibility for your big day. One of the main attractions, beyond stunning backdrops, beautiful gardens and exquisite architecture, is exclusivity.
Traditionally, couples get married near the bride’s home, so for many couples living in London or another big city, travelling out for manor house weddings can be a great option that ticks a lot of boxes.
Stately home weddings provide a grandeur that is not really comparable to anything available in a city. Those couples choosing stately home weddings can be sure of a memorable, tranquil, enjoyable day from the second they pass the gatehouse and drive through the immaculately landscaped private grounds.
Manor house weddings will give you the same privacy, though it might be slightly less formal as the house is likely to be not quite as grand. The key is knowing yourselves as a couple, and being clear on what you want from the day.
