Thank you for bothering to look at my work and even read a little bit about me and Fairfield Photographic. I've just celebrated my 10th anniversary as a professional photographer (the last 7 years full time) and I'm really lucky in that I truly love what I do. I put my heart and soul into it, but it rarely feels like a job, which is wonderful! I'm inspired by beautiful landscapes, the silly/goofy/fun in children (my own especially) and by couples who pick me to photograph their most special day...
For weddings, my style blends some more traditional elements (i.e. groups - if you want them) with a modern unobtrusive approach. I like to incorporate location into my photographs as much as possible too, so if you have a great venue or location booked we're already on the same wavelength! In the reviews here and on facebook you'll see many brides say they didn't notice me - which as I'm over over 6ft tall is a great compliment!
I cover pretty much all the North West and beyond - all the way to Italy in fact - but if you are within a 75 miles radius, there's no travel charge at all. I offer discounts to Police, Military and NHS staff - get in touch to find out more.
I do pretty much everything myself, from the photography to processing, editing and enhancing of images, to album design and facebook and blog posts! It's possible I *may* just be a bit of a control freak ;) when it comes to the finished products I provide, but it's that hands on attention to detail that sets me apart and ensures that I stay busy year in year out, and it's why so many of the brides and grooms I've photographed take the time to leave great reviews and recommend me to friends, family and colleagues. Having just enjoyed the 10th anniversary of my wedding to my wife Beverley, I can still clearly remember all the stresses, strains and excitement of organising a wedding and the importance of making sure everything is exactly right. It's this approach that I take into every wedding I photograph - a desire to make the Bride and Groom happy and each wedding I photograph I try and do better than the last.
My approach
I try and keep a pretty straightforward outlook: capture the emotion, passion and fun of your wedding day by ensuring you are happy! I take the view that if you book me, my time is yours - so whether you want photojournalistic photography which is all about capturing moments as they occur naturally, or whether you want a more traditional style, or simply a mixture of both - I'm happy to accommodate any request!
